Office 365: Signing into Office Desktop Client (Windows/Mac)

Summary

This article provides instructions to sign into the Office 365 Desktop Client for both Windows and Mac users.

 

How-To

Task: To sign into the Office 365 Desktop Client on Windows.

 

Instructions

Step 1 - Open Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint without opening a document.

Step 2 - Click on "Sign In" in the upper right-hand corner of the program.

 

Step 3 - After clicking on "Sign In" a window will pop up asking for your email. Type in your account username@usnh.edu (like jbd2519@usnh.edu).

Step 4 - Click "Next".  Enter your USNH password then click "Submit".

Step 5 - Provide the multi-factor authentication (MFA) code or response if prompted.

 

Outcome

You are now signed into Office 365 on your Windows device.
