For a variety of reasons, wireless printers do not work on the USNH wireless system using WiFi. Even though wireless printers work on home wireless systems, not all devices have a wireless card that can negotiate the WPA2 Enterprise security protocol used on USNH wireless networks. In addition, if you do not disable the wireless feature on your printer, it will constantly search for WiFi, causing interference for those near you and making it more difficult to connect laptops and mobile devices to eduroam.

You can still use your printer. To use your printer and Be a Good Wireless Neighbor, do the following:

  • Use a USB cable to connect to your computer.
  • Disable the wireless feature on your printer. Every printer is different, so search the Web for your make and model followed by "disable wireless feature" for instruction.
