Summary
During the term, if a faculty member needs to contact a student’s advisor, WebCat can be used to find the student’s advisor's name.
How-To
Task: To view the name of a student’s advisor
Instructions
Step 1 - Log into WebCat .
Step 2 - Click on the Faculty Services menu > Student Menu > View Student Information
Step 3 - Using the Term drop-down menu, select the appropriate term and then select the Submit button
Step 4 - Search for the student using one of the following options:
- CPS ID Number: Enter the student’s CPS ID number
OR
- By Name: Search by name by entering the Last Name and First Name and select “Students” in the Search Type. Then click on Submit button.
Step 5 - Select the correct student from the dropdown and select the ‘Submit’ button.
Outcome
The name of the student’s advisor will appear.
Note: If you need the advisor’s email address, consult the Faculty & Staff Directory on the College of Professional Studies website.
