Summary
This article includes instructions for mapping PSU network drives on Windows if you are on-campus with a PSU-owned computer (including lab computers), off-campus with a PSU-owned computer, or a Personal computer. Go to the section that applies to your situation.
Note: With the switch to the Global Protect VPN – All users need to connect to the VPN whether on or off campus
Task: Mapping Network Drives ON campus with PSU OWNED computer or LAB computer – wired or wireless
Instructions
Step 1 - Sign in to the GlobalProtect VPN. For information about installation and instruction, refer to GlobalProtect VPN: General Information and Resources.
Step 2 - Click on the Windows Start Button in the lower-left corner and type “PC” to bring up This PC
Step 3 - Right-click on This PC and select “map network drive”
Step 4 - Enter the full path to the share in Folder:
\\space.plymouth.edu\sharename
Step 5 - To access the drive when logging back in check “Reconnect at sign-in”
Step 6 - Click “Finish”
Outcome
You should be able to map a network drive on campus with a PSU owned computer or LAB computer.

Task: Mapping Network Drives OFF campus with PSU OWNED computer
Instructions

Step 2 - Click on the Windows Start Button in the lower-left corner and type “PC” to bring up This PC.
Step 3 - Right-click on This PC and select “map network drive”
Step 4 - Enter the full path to the share in Folder:
\\space.plymouth.edu\sharename
Step 5 - To access the drive when logging back in check “Reconnect at sign-in”
Step 6 - Click “Finish”
Outcome
You should be able to map a network drive off campus with a PSU owned computer.

Task: Mapping Network Drives ON or OFF campus with a PERSONAL computer
Instructions
Step 1 - Sign in to the GlobalProtect VPN. For information about installation and instruction, refer to GlobalProtect VPN: General Information and Resources.
Step 2 - Click on the Windows Start Button in the lower-left corner and type “PC” to bring up This PC.
Step 3 - Right-click on This PC and select “map network drive”
Step 4 - Enter the full path to the share in Folder:
- ex: \\jupiter.plymouth.edu\username
\\space.plymouth.edu\sharename
Step 5 - To access the drive when logging back in check “Reconnect at sign-in”
Step 6 - *** Check “Connect using different credentials” so the user can authenticate to the network share. This must be checked.
Step 7 - Click “Finish”
Step 8 - Enter your username as ad\username
- Check “Remember my credentials” to auto sign in.
Outcome
You should be able to map a network drive on or off campus with a personal computer.
