Mahara Upgrade - August 2018

ITS will be performing planned upgrades and maintenance on Mahara on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. The work is scheduled to be completed from 6 a.m. - noon. When the upgrade is complete, we will send a communication letting you know that Mahara is ready for your use.

Some exciting changes that will not affect your current e-Portfolios.



Improved Dashboard Page:

You now have a drop-down menu to select which area of Mahara you want to enter into.

Under Portfolio: The combining of the Pages and Collections sections.


Here is the new and improved layout of the Pages and Collection page. Collections are defined by having more than one page. Click the three dots in the lower right side of each page or collection to modify the page or collection.
Double click on title of page/collection to go into display mode or have the ability to go into edit mode for the page/collection.

For navigation within a collection, the navigation buttons have moved to the upper right side when in display mode.

You can now print a page!


To change the layout of a page, you need to be in edit mode and click the settings button at the top right next to the edit button.

When in a "Note Block", you can now link to another one of your Mahara pages. To do so, click the link icon in your "Note Block". Click on the "Link List" drop-down arrow and select one of your Mahara pages.



Once in the Note configuration screen, here is the anchor icon.

Once you click the icon, give the anchor a name.

This is what the anchor looks like once it is set.

Now set up the link to the anchor by following steps 1 thru 3.


You can get help from where you are. Click the "Help" title on the bottom of the page. This will take you to Mahara's User Guide.
