Downloading Kaltura Capture

  1. To access Kaltura Capture, from myPlymouth, click on the myCourses tab, and then click Kaltura under Academic Technology Tools on the right side of the page.
  2. Click the Add New button, then click Kaltura Capture
  3. Click to download the software for Windows/Mac
  4. Follow prompts for installation

*If you receive an "Access Denied" message, or a black or blank screen, first try a different browser. If you still experience issues, please contact the Help Desk for support.

Recording with Kaltura Capture

  1. Open Kaltura Capture by going to myPlymouth, click on the myCourses tab, and then click Kaltura under Academic Technology Tools on the right side of the page. Click the Add New button, then click Kaltura Capture
  2. Each of the icons in the Kaltura Capture represents what you are recording - the computer screen, your camera, and or/your audio. By clicking on each icon you can activate or deactivate that tool.
  3. If recording a screencast, Select Full Screen then click Record
  4. If using a PowerPoint, start your PowerPoint slideshow, hide the mouse off to the side, and record your narrated video.
  5. When finished recording, click the stop button (the square below).

Saving and Upload Video

  1. To upload to Kaltura, give your video a title and optional description, then click Save & Upload
