Moodle - Moving Grade Items in Gradebook Setup

On occasion, it is necessary for an instructor to rearrange how items are displayed in the Gradebook. Whether it's relocating an item (or several) to a new category or simply moving an item to a different location, the instructor controls this arrangement. See below for more information on moving items in Moodle's Gradebook Setup.

Instructions

  1. In the Administration block, click Gradebook Setup
  2. To the left of the item you'd like to move, click the up/down arrow icon

3. The page will reload and you will see bounded boxes- click inside the box where you would like to move the grade item.

Moving Multiple Items into a Category

  1. In the Administration block, click Gradebook Setup
  2. To the right of the items you'd like to move, click the checkbox (you can select all items to be moved at once)

3. Scroll down toward the bottom of the Gradebook Setup page to find the "Move items to..." drop-down menu.
4. Click the drop-down menu and select the category where you would like to move the selected grade items.

5. The page will reload and the selected grade items will now appear under the correct category.
