Moodle - SESSKEY Errors

Tags PSU

This article describes what SESSKEY errors are and how to avoid them.

In Moodle, "Sesskey" errors tend to happen when more than one Moodle page of a course is open at the same time. To avoid Sesskey errors, make sure you're only opening the course once from your course list. Every time you open the course, a session key is created, if you open it more than once, multiple sessions are created which causes confusion (i.e. the error).

To avoid losing your work, we recommend typing short answer or essay homework assignments in a program like Word, and then pasting them into Moodle. This way, if something goes wrong, you don't lose your work.
