Summary
The Outlook Desktop App is a Microsoft email client. Users can sign in using their USNH email. This article provides step-by-step instructions for setting up your account in the Outlook Desktop App on both Windows and MacOS.

Task: To set up your account in Outlook Desktop App for Windows
Instructions
Step 1 - Open the Outlook Desktop App for Windows.
Step 2 - If an Outlook window prompt asks for your email address, enter your username@usnh.edu (fully qualified username, example: jbd2519@usnh.edu) and click "Connect" then skip to Step 5 below.
Step 3 - If your Outlook Desktop App opens showing a blank page, select "File" tab from the top left.
Step 4 - Select "Add Account" Under Account Information, and you should see the image from Step 2. For your email address, enter your username@usnh.edu (fully qualified username, example: jbd2519@usnh.edu). and click "Connect". Continue with Step 5 below.
Step 5 - On the USNH Enter Password page, enter your password and click Sign In. If required, approve the login attempt with your preferred method of multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Note: If a server address is needed, it is outlook.office365.com
Step 6 - You will be passed back to the Outlook Application and see all your emails.
Outcome
Your USNH unified M365 email will be added to the Outlook Desktop App for Windows.

Task: To set up your account in Outlook Desktop App for MacOS
Instructions
Step 1 - Open the Outlook Desktop App for MacOS.
Step 2 - Go to Outlook > Preferences in the upper left menu next to the Apple icon:
Step 3 - Select the "Accounts Tab":
Step 4 - Under the accounts listing, click the Plus (+) button at the bottom of the list:
Step 5 - At the Welcome Screen, Click "Add Email Account"
Step 6 - For your email address, enter your username@usnh.edu (fully qualified username, example: jbd2519@usnh.edu).
Click the "Continue" button
Step 8 - On the USNH Enter Password page, enter your password and tap Sign In. If required, approve the login attempt with your preferred method of multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Note: If a server address is needed, it is outlook.office365.com
Step 9 - You will be passed back to the Outlook Application and will see a green check mark indicating that your account has been successfully linked. When done, click the "Done" button
Outcome
Your USNH unified M365 email will be added to the Outlook Desktop App for Windows.
