View Windows BitLocker Recovery Key

Summary

This article shows how to view the Windows BitLocker Recovery Key.

For all compatible USNH-issued devices, "BitLocker whole drive encryption" is enabled as a default security** function.  Periodically, a firmware/BIOS update, hardware repair, or password reset may trigger a BitLocker password prompt on your device. This is an expected security function. End users can view their BitLocker key of any institutional device which has properly cached its key.

** For more information, search for "Endpoint Management Standard" on the the USNH Technology/Cybersecurity Policies & Standards page.
