Registering, Using, and Unregistering a YubiKey

A YubiKey is a small hardware device used as an alternative method of multifactor authentication. Please follow the instructions below to register, use, or unregister a YubiKey.

Registering a YubiKey to your SmartAuth profile

  1. Once you've acquired a YubiKey, go to: https://mylogin.usnh.edu/SecureAuth48
  2. Login with existing MFA
  3. Make sure the blinking cursor is in the ‘Enter YubiKey’ field and plug in YubiKey
    Note: If it doesn’t auto populate, gently touch the “Y” icon on the physical YubiKey itself

 

Using YubiKey

  1. Select YubiKey as your MFA method
  2. Make sure the blinking cursor is in the ‘Enter YubiKey’ field and plug in the YubiKey
    Note: If it doesn’t auto populate, gently touch the “Y” icon on the physical YubiKey itself

 

Removing YubiKey from your SmartAuth Profile

To remove a YubiKey from your SmartAuth Profile, please contact your campus Help Desk; they will access the SmartAuth Support Realm and can remove it for you from there
