A YubiKey is a small hardware device used as an alternative method of multifactor authentication. Please follow the instructions below to register, use, or unregister a YubiKey.
Registering a YubiKey to your SmartAuth profile
- Once you've acquired a YubiKey, go to: https://mylogin.usnh.edu/SecureAuth48
- Login with existing MFA
- Make sure the blinking cursor is in the ‘Enter YubiKey’ field and plug in YubiKey
Note: If it doesn’t auto populate, gently touch the “Y” icon on the physical YubiKey itself
Using YubiKey
- Select YubiKey as your MFA method
- Make sure the blinking cursor is in the ‘Enter YubiKey’ field and plug in the YubiKey

Removing YubiKey from your SmartAuth Profile
To remove a YubiKey from your SmartAuth Profile, please contact your campus Help Desk; they will access the SmartAuth Support Realm and can remove it for you from there
