eduroam Visitor Access

Note to USNH Students, Faculty and Staff: To get connected, select the wireless network eduroam and enter your <username>@<campus>.edu and password when prompted. For additional information see Connecting to the USNH Wireless Network using Laptops, Tablets, or Phones.

 

Overview

The University System of New Hampshire, including the institutions at Granite State College, Keene State College, Plymouth State University and the University of New Hampshire (Durham, Manchester and Law)  and are pleased to participate in eduroam. eduroam is an Internet global service for wireless network access, which was developed for the international research and education community. It allows students, researchers, faculty, and staff to securely and seamlessly obtain wireless access at all participating institutions worldwide .

 

How-To

Task: To connect to eduroam (For visitors to USNH Campuses)

 

Instructions

Step 1 - Open your device's wireless settings page and select eduroam.

Step 2 - If prompted, type your institutional email address (e.g. jd1234@harvard.edu) and password in the fields provided, or the wifi credentials provided by your home institution

Step 3 - Follow on-screen prompts to connect to eduroam.

 

Outcome

Your device will be connected to the eduroam wireless network.

 


Task: To connect to eduroam (For USNH Members visiting Other Academic Institutions)

 

Instructions

Step 1 - Open your device's wireless settings page and select eduroam.

Step 2 - If prompted, type your <username>@<campus>.edu (e.g. abc123@unh.edu, efg456@keene.edu, xyz789@plymouth.edu, abc123@granite.edu, etc.) and password associated with your email account in the fields provided.

Step 3 - Follow on-screen prompts to connect to eduroam.

 

Outcome

Your device will be connected to the eduroam wireless network.

 

Additional Notes

  • People visiting USNH Institutions can only use this service if their home institution is a member of the eduroam service . Otherwise, they should follow the instructions for Connecting to Open Guest Wireless.
  • Logging into eduroam as a visitor requires that you use the wifi credentials provided by your home institution.
  • Some institutions may require that you download a small app before you can connect to the eduroam network at that location.
  • Connectivity restrictions are controlled by the eduroam service provider and cannot be changed by the University System of New Hampshire. In addition, WiFi usage restrictions may be imposed by your home institution and USNH has no influence on these.
