Post M365 migration: Updating Email and Calendar settings on Apple iOS

Summary:

These instructions are provided to necessary updates to Apple iOS (mobile) devices to receive "Email and Calendar" using Exchange Online after the M365 migration to the USNH Unified environment.  During this process you will be asked to delete the existing account and re-add the new unified account.

Main-Configuration

Follow the steps below to update "Email and Calendar" settings using Exchange Online with your Apple iOS Mobile device:

1. Tap on the "Settings" gear icon

2. Select "Mail"

 

3. Select "Accounts"

 

4. Select your "Campus email account", scroll to the bottom of the window and click "delete "Account".  

 

4. Select "Add "Account".

 

5. Select the "Exchange" option with the blue letter "E"

This Exchange option will allow you to sync both your "Campus Email" and "Campus Calendar"

 

6. Enter the following information...

  • Enter your email address in the form of: username@campus.edu
  • *username should equal your campus username/netID, not your email alias.
  • *Campus should equal your primary home campus.

i.e   abc9876@plymouth.edu  OR   xyz1234@keene.edu

  • Enter your password
  • Name the email account: "PSU Email" or "KSC Email"

 


7. A window will pop up asking you to sign into your campus Exchange account . Tap "Sign in".


8. A new Safari browser window will open up with a unified M365 log in Screen.

* If Safari does not redirect you to the new M365 login screen and instead loops over and over again on a blank white page - please try these steps to clear your Safari cache:

          1. Open the Settings App on your phone and scroll down to "Safari"

                           

          2. Scroll down and tap  "Clear History and Website Data"

                           

          3. Tap "Clear History and Data"

                             

        4. Try adding your email to your phone again by following the steps above. You should then successfully be redirected to the new sign-on screen. 

Enter your username/NetID and password information and tap "Submit". You will then be brought back to the Settings application. If you do not get this browser window and you are asked for a server name, enter:  outlook.office365.com
 

 

9. Select the "Accept" option

 

10. Select the items that you wish to sync, then tap the "Save" link in the upper right corner

  • "Calendar" must be selected in order to sync your campus Calendar.
  • If you do not wish to sync your campus Calendar, deselect this item by toggling it to the off position.

 

11. Open the iOS Email and Calendar Apps and you should see the campus "Email" and "Calendar" accounts start to sync.

*Important Note: Shared Calendars are not currently available on the native Apple iOS Calendar App.
