When configuring Plymouth email for Microsoft Outlook, ITS strongly recommends to configure Outlook using Exchange. However, some users still want to create an Outlook email using IMAP. ITS opposes to use POP which downloads emails to your computer so you aren't allow the flexibility of using other devices to read email. IMAP keeps a copy of the email on the server, so they will still be accessible outside of Outlook.
Here are the incoming and outgoing server names, ports, etc. for IMAP and POP.
(STAFF NOTE - Please refrain from editing or removing faculty accounts, please refer them to Desktop Support after verifying settings. When troubleshooting an existing account, ALWAYS verify if the account is POP and IMAP.)
