Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) Safe Attachments protects against unknown malware and viruses and provides zero-day protection to safeguard your messaging system. All messages and attachments that don't have a known virus/malware signature are routed to a special environment where ATP uses a variety of machine learning and analysis techniques to detect malicious intent. If no suspicious activity is detected, the message is released for delivery to the mailbox.
How-To
Task: To view your quarantine list.
Instructions
Step 1 - Open a web browser and navigate to https://protection.office.com/quarantine
Note: If this link does not work from the Outlook client, try a private browser or a new browser window.
Outcome
A list of quarantined email messages is displayed.

Task: To view an attachment during the scan.
If you receive a message with an attachment, the attachment can still be viewed before the ATP Scan has completed. The scan should only take a few moments.
Instructions
Step 1 - In the email message, select Preview under the attachment.

Step 1 - Right-click and select Preview from the menu.

Outcome
The attachment opens in a preview window.
