Overview
What Sort of Speeds Can I Get on USNH Wifi? - There is no one size fits all answer. The device's wireless card, the radio environment, and how many users on the access point (AP) all can affect the speeds. Here are the Theoretical vs. Actual speeds in ideal conditions by wireless versions:

Older 2.4GHz devices are more susceptible to interference, and will be dealt with on a "best effort" basis.
However in general, the newer the device, the better the wireless experience. USNH strongly recommends that all devices (PCs, laptops, tablets, handhelds, and game consoles) brought on campus be at least 802.11ac (Wifi 5) capable.
KSC, PSU, and UNH all have nearly ubiquitous indoor wireless coverage, using 802.11ac APs. Standards can vary slightly, but on the USNH enterprise networks, devices should be capable of the following:
- Web Browsing, Emails: 5Mbps or greater
- Streaming videos, movies and music: 10 Mbps or greater
- Gaming: 10 Mbps or greater
- Videoconferencing: 15 Mbps or better
