myPages: Login and Website Creation

This document describes the process of logging into myPages and creating a new website.

myPages is a free website building tool available to students, faculty, and staff at the University of New Hampshire. Powered by the OpenScholar framework , myPages allows easy creation of appealing and functional websites to share research, scholarship, and other information with the UNH community and the public.

Login and Website Creation Instructions

First-time Login

1) Go to  https://mypages.unh.edu click on the orange button titled "LOGIN AND CREATE YOUR SITE HERE"

2) Log in with your UNH username and password. (NOTE: you do not have to create a new account)

Website Creation 

  1. Choose the type of site you would like to create: Individual Scholar or Project/Lab/Small Group
    1. For Individual Scholar site:
      1. Click the Individual Scholar button
      2. Type in your preferred URL
        NOTE: For your first website we recommed using your username for the URL.
      3. Choose who can view your site (site visibility)
        NOTE: We strongly recommend choosing "Site members only" until (or if) you are ready to make your site publicly accessible.
      4. Click on the checkbox to agree to USNH Terms of Use
      5. Click on the NEXT button
      6. Click on the "Select" button for UNH WMD Personal site, then click on the NEXT button
      7. Choose a theme - either "Classic" or "Unbranded"
        NOTE: you must choose one or the other theme - failure to do so will result in applying a non-UNH theme to your site.
      8. Click the FINISH button, then click on the TAKE ME TO MY SITE button to proceed to your newly created website
    2. For Project/Lab/Small Group site: 
      1. Click the Project/Lab/Small Group button
      2. Type in your preferred URL
      3. Choose who can view your site (site visibility)
        NOTE: We strongly recommend choosing "Site members only" until (or if) you are ready to make your site publicly accessible.
      4. Click on the checkbox to agree to USNH Terms of Use
      5. Click on the NEXT button
      6. Click on the "Select" button for either the Lab/Research Group or Project site types, then click on the NEXT button
        NOTE: The diference between the two site types is the number and type of apps that are set up by default.
      7. Choose a theme - either "Classic" or "Unbranded"
        NOTE: you must choose one or the other theme - failure to do so will result in applying a non-UNH theme to your site.
      8. Click the FINISH button, then click on the TAKE ME TO MY SITE button to proceed to your newly created website
