Canvas: Student Assignment and faculty feedback

Summary

This article describes where students can view assignment feedback in Canvas.

Content

In the Canvas course, when the student submits a document into an assignment, the faculty can make comments that appear on the document. The faculty annotations and comments can appear on the document or in the document margin. The best option is to use a laptop or PC to view the assignment.  A mobile device app doesn't show all the feedback.

The best way to view the feedback on the assignment is to use a laptop or PC and login to the course.

Follow these steps to view the feedback:

  1. In the course, click on the Grades area.
  2. Click on the assignment title to open to the actual assignment.
  3. On the right side of the screen, click on the View Feedback link to open to see faculty annotations and comments.

See Graphics below for steps on where to click in your course.
